It is in every way the epitome of the home-grown business success story.
“When I went into business it was just a case of working to make a living – I never knew it would evolve into such a successful enterprise ,” Wayne said.
“After about a year in operation things were really picking up – my wife Belinda had to join me in the office just to keep on top of things.”
Belinda still works at the business today, running the accounts while Wayne takes care of the management.
The only difference now is a dedicated team of people are also involved, from sales and showroom staff to the boys in the workshop and those out on the job installing fences.
Wayne and Belinda know a good business cannot succeed without the wealth of knowledge and support of a great team of employees and contractors.
“The business started out in Kewarra Beach , but we were only there for three years before shifting to Adelaide St, Manunda,” Wayne said.
”We stayed in Manunda for 12 years, gradually building it up, but eventually reached a point where that site couldn't accommodate our growth anymore.”
“Part of the reason for this was our decision to stock a larger range of fencing on site.”
As part of the expansion Arnel Fencing has a more function workshop for creating custom-designed fences in addition to a colossal warehouse for storing its extensive range of fencing products.
A showroom in the front office houses the myriad of fencing hardware goods Arnel Fencing has become known for, while a carefully designed yard allows for ease of use for incoming customers as well as on-site staff.
The comprehensive range of fencing products includes timber fencing, coloured steel privacy fencing, powder coated aluminium and steel pool fencing as well as weld mesh, wire and rural products.
While the company has made a name for itself as quality installers the one thing many customers would like to tackle is the challenge of self-installation.
That's why the qualified and experienced staff at Arnel are on hand five-and-a-half days a week to answer and DIY questions.
“Many of our customers want to cut down on cost and time by installing their new fence themselves and we are always more than happy to assist them with this,” Wayne said.
“They can call our office any time during business hours and we'll help where we can with any advice they need.”
For those looking to build a new fence Arnel Fencing offers an off-the-plan quoting service.
“All clients need to do is fax a copy of their site plans through to our office and we'll quote on the price of fencing form there, based on their requirements,” Wayne said. |
